The R&A assumes responsibility for the administration of the Rules of Golf with the consent of 152 organisations from the amateur and professional game, and on behalf of over 30 million golfers in 138 countries throughout Europe, Africa, Asia-Pacific and the Americas.
Each year, The R&A invests proceeds generated by The Open Championship into global golf development projects from grassroots initiatives, through coaching and regional championships, to professional tours all over the world. In addition, best practice advice on sustainable golf course management, along with the distribution of brand-new greenkeeping machinery to golf courses in developing golfing nations, is also a priority.
We were tasked with the challenge of uniting these initiatives and developing a theme that could illustrate the variety of ways the R&A aids the development of golf around the world.
